Who need to apply for K-ETA?

K-eTA is a system which provides business travelers with an electronic travel authorization. This authorization is awarded automatically to the nationals of the 66 Visa Waiver Countries and nationals of 46 designated Visa Free Countries.

Foreign nationals intending to enter South Korea for tourism, visiting relatives, events or meetings, or if they plan to make any sort of business transactions need a K-eTA.

What is K-ETA?

K-ETA is an online authorisation that foreign visitors need to obtain before entering the Republic of Korea, for tourist purposes, or those who are visiting relatives.

The application process can be done online and applicants typically receive a response within 72 hours. The K-ETA must be renewed every year, with multiple entries allowed, and the fee is set at $48.
